Sons of Italy Foundation® Grant Priorities, Guidelines & Procedures

The Sons of Italy Foundation® (SIF) receives grant requests throughout the year on a rolling basis. The FY for the SIF is October 1 – September 30 for each year. Applications are received and acknowledged, submitted to the Grants Committee of the SIF and at future Board meetings, recommendations are made to the Board and decisions rendered.

The SIF continues its ongoing support of several principal charities and causes, including: the Alzheimer’s Association, the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation (CAF), the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum, the University of Minnesota Immigration History Research Center, annual scholarships to Italian-American students nationwide, veterans’ causes, and disaster relief efforts when needed.
