Join the cyber-community for those that have lived or studied in Italy. Visit www.alumitalia.com.

The federal government's new "E-Scholar" initiative contains hundreds of Federal government-funded education scholarships, fellowships, grants, internships and cooperative programs.

"Internationalize" your high school; make new friends; improve your Italian; and earn scholarships for study and travel to Italy.

OSIA is partnering with the American Institute for Foreign Study's Academic Year in America (AYA), an international exchange program, to place Italian high school students with Italian American families for an academic semester or year. AYA is dedicated to creating world citizens through cross-cultural exchange. This is a great way to experience the Italian culture in the US while becoming eligible for scholarships to study in Italy.

Get involved by:

Become a Host Family
Become a Local Coordinator

For more information, please visit the AYA Web site at www.academicyear.org, write AYA recruitment coordinator Danielle Carpino at dcarpino@aifs.com or call (800) 322-4678.

Check out the Sons of Italy's first university-based chapter Forza Chicago. Young Ambassador Massimo DiSabato founded this group at the University of Illinois, Chicago. E-mail Massimo for pointers on starting your own chapter.
