PAUL M. COFONI is the new president and CEO of CACI International, Inc., a leader in information technology headquartered in Arlington, VA near Washington, D.C. Responsible for CACI’s U.S. operations, Cofoni oversees technical and support services to the U.S. government, including national defense and homeland security. CACI’s 2006 revenues were $1.75 billion. It employs about 10,000 people in more than 120 offices world wide.
EUGENE J. CORNACCHIA, Ph.D. is the new president of Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, N.J. Appointed last May, Dr. Cornacchia is the first layman president of the 135-year old Catholic Jesuit college, one of only 28 in the U.S. He has been there 26 years, first as a professor of political science then as provost and vice president of academic affairs. Dr. Cornacchia is only the second layman to hold such a post. The first was Dr. John DeGioia, when he became Georgetown University’s first lay president in 2001.
JOE MINNITI, a master hair replacement specialist, is using his talents to help cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and other drug treatments. It all began in 1971 when a sister developed cancer. She was successfully treated, but her illness inspired Minniti to help others like her through the Cancer Foundation for Personal Appearances, Inc., a non-profit organization he founded in 1999 in New Jersey. To date it has donated more than 450 wigs and hair pieces to the ill and needy; conducts workshops to counsel cancer patients on personal appearance and self-esteem; and is affiliated with several major hospitals.
