Sons of Italy® Offers All-Inclusive Tours of Campania, Starting at Less Than $1,800.00

$50.00 Discount For Bookings Made by June 15, 2009

Washington, DC- May 21, 2009 – The Sons of Italy® is offering weekly tours of Naples, Capri, the Amalfi Coast and the ancient Roman cities of Campania, starting at less than $1,800 per person, from September 2009 through June 2010.

An additional discount of $50.00 per person applies to bookings made by June 15, 2009.

"Passport to Italy: Touring Timeless Campania" includes round-trip air travel on Alitalia from New York City; a week's stay at the Grand Hotel Salerno, where all the rooms will have sea views; all guided tours, breakfasts and dinners. From the hotel in Salerno participants will have daily tours of the region's most important sights including Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and the Royal Palace of Caserta.

Participants also will have free time to shop and sight-see on their own. Breakfasts are continental style while the dinners feature Campania's unique cuisine and wines.

Special Features: Participants can extend their visit before or after the tour for a maximum of 10 days and will be assisted in finding hotels, auto rentals and airline reservations. Arrangements, however, must be made at the time of booking the tour and are subject to availability.

Clubs, friends and families can reserve a "members-only" tour for a specific date. However, all reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis and require a minimum of 25 people. Trips with fewer than 25 participants will be offered alternate dates.

All tours depart from New York's JFK airport, but other cities of embarkation are available at an additional charge subject to availability and scheduling.

Dates & Rates: The price of the tour varies according to the season. The least expensive tours are in November and March at $1,799.00 per person. The tours in September and October are $1,999.00; tours in April and May are $2,079.00, while the last three tours in June cost $2,379.00 per person. A single-occupancy hotel room is available for $300.00 extra. The price does not include airport taxes and airline fuel surcharges.

When to Go? Campania has a Mediterranean climate with relatively mild weather year-round. Winter temperatures average in the 50s F. Spring comes early and temperatures average in the mid-60s F. (See chart below.)
