A Cure Is In Sight

Thank you for visiting us to learn more about A CURE IS IN SIGHT, OSIA's newest project to help find a cure for Cooley's anemia, the deadly blood disorder that affects people of Italian descent.

A CURE IS IN SIGHT utilizes supermarkets, banks and other high-traffic businesses to raise awareness of Cooley's anemia and to help lodges raise funds for the Cooley's anemia research.

Here is how it works:

• This is very similar to our canister program. Brothers and sisters of the Order approach local businesses and tell them why you are involved with OSIA and Cooley's anemia.

• The OSIA member asks if the business would like to show support for the A CURE IS IN SIGHT project and shows them the Cure is in Sight Pads.

• If they are willing to help they can either give a $50 donation payable to the OSIA Grand Lodge of the member's state or they can display the pads and ask their customers if they are willing to add their names to a binocular image that will be posted on the wall. They should collect $1.00 for each binocular image.

• Remember to check in with your business partners often to see if they are doing okay selling the Binocular images and collecting donations.
